| Water Works Park It was only natural when the City Water Department located its wells in the Denver Chatman's area starting in 1914 that the city should acquire the land around the wells and proposed wells and , today, the beautiful and heavily used area is called Water Works Park. In 1935 the city took the kids out of the river and built a cement swimming pool and bathhouse at a cost of $100,000. In the 1960's the city was induced to build one of the finest baseball fields in this area at the park and its home for Falls High teams during spring session and is also used by many teams all baseball season. Water Works Park, open to local people at all times, has an abundance and variety of recreational and picnic facilities while protecting and preserving the original beauty and atmosphere of our Cuyahoga River with its historic heritage.
