The Cuyahoga Falls History Digital Archive collects, preserves, and digitalizes various media in order to present the history of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Funded by private donations of local citizens and businesses and organized by the staff of Holland Web Design, this Digital Archive will contribute to the on-going effort by historians and archivists to record and preserve the record of Cuyahoga Falls by: collecting personal accounts, collecting and archiving documents and digital images, organizing and annotating the most important web-based resources, and developing materials to contextualize and teach about historic events. Our goal is to create a permanent record of the events of the past 10,000 years. In the process, we hope to foster some positive legacies of our ancestors by allowing people to tell their stories, making those stories available to a wide audience, providing historical context for understanding events and their consequences, and helping both children and adult researchers improve their knowledge and studies based on this project. The Cuyahoga Falls History Digital Archive project formally began in February, 2004, and will continue adding media and information each month. Material will be added more frequently as we receive items from past and present CFO residents.
